Adverbs vs Adjectives
- The word that modifies nouns is called adjectives and the word that modifies verbs is called adverb.
- Adjectives are used to modify nouns or pronouns.
- Adjectives modify nouns
Example:
I bought a new cell phone.
The movie was funny.
- Adjectives modify pronouns
- That girl is so beautiful.
- He is kind and handsome.
- Adverbs are used to modify verbs, adjectives and other adverbs.

Examples:
- He works very fast.
- You arrived so early.
- Adjectives is used to modify nouns or pronouns while an adverb is used to modify verbs, adjectives or other adverbs.
- Adjectives answers the questions what kind, how many and which one while an adverb answers the questions how, when, where and to what extent the action of the verb took place.
