- Look at the sentences and mark the difference.
- He a boy.
- Why crying?
- Why shy?
- It is a yacht.
- This is a park.
- The first 3 sentences do not show complete meaning.
- The last 2 sentences give the complete meaning.

Complete Sentence:
- A complete sentence is a group of words that tells complete thought or idea.
- It begins with capital letter and ends with punctuation marks like ‘full stop’ and ‘question mark.’
- A complete sentence answers the questions of ‘who’ and ‘what.’



- Examples:
- The cat chased his tail.
- The dog ran away.
- The baby is crying.
Incomplete Sentence:
- Ask the students, “Do you know what incomplete sentence is?”
- An incomplete sentence indicates an incomplete thought/meaning.
- Incomplete sentence doesn’t answer ‘who’ & ‘what’.
- Refer to slide no. 21 & 22.


- Examples:
- Won football game.
- Many long days.
- At the pool?
