First Letter of Name and Objects

There are 26 letters in English alphabet. 

They make different sounds.  

There are vowel sounds (a, e, i, o, u) and consonant sounds (b, c, d, f, g, h, j, k, l, m, n, p, q, r, s, t, v, w, x, y, z). 

Students learn to find out the first letter of their names by pronouncing their names. 

The pictures of some familiar objects are given below.

The beginning sound is the first sound which is heard when you say a word.

First letter is B. 

Apple 

Beginning sound is /æ/. 

First letter is A.
