A questions and Paraphrase Problems is a type of sentence articulated in a form that requires—or at least appears to require—an answer.
It is an interrogative articulation often used to test knowledge, and is expected to be provided in the form of an answer.
Questions are framed with the help of auxiliary verbs that are inverted with the subject. This is known as subject-verb inversion.
Types of Questions:
- Yes/No Questions: Questions that can be attempted with either “yes” or “no.”
- “Wh-” Questions: Questions that seek information by posing a question with a “wh-” question word.
- Tag questions: These questions are formed by adding a question as a “tag” onto the end of a declarative sentence.
- Alternative questions: Questions that provide a choice among two or more answers.
Paraphrasing
Paraphrasing is formulating someone else’s ideas in your own words.
Paraphrasing is the direct way to show someone that their thoughts and feelings were understood.
